How far will and can the United States government go to protect people who are not their own? This is a baffling idea when you see young children losing body parts and parents surviving only in intensive care.

This same thought, however, brings me back to a thought of why we jumped into war with Iraq. Was that a war we fought to save a people, a war we fought to change a people into America’s ideal or a war we fought for money and oil?

I believe if America sees themselves as every country’s savior, the government must first look at what is the underlying cause they are fighting for. As much as it may seem cold blooded, every war is not America’s war. Yes, I want to be a part of a hero nation but not at the expense of my own safety.
