The Lady Rams volleyball team took both a close win and a hard loss during the weekend’s games.

On Friday, Sept. 28, the Lady Rams lost the first match against the Hardin Simmons Cowgirls in a close game with a final score of 34-32. The Lady Rams took the last two losses with scores of 27-25 and 25-23.

Kate Rosenbusch, junior athletic training major, said the games were a struggle mentally.

“We took a hard loss on Friday even though we played really well,” she said. “We really had to refocus for our conference match. We came out a little slow at our conference game but we stuck together as a team and pulled through.”

The Lady Rams won 3-2 overall in their matches against University of Southwest Mustangs.

The Lady Rams overall record for the season now stands at 13-8 after the weekend conference games.
