The Texas Wesleyan men’s soccer team played against Wylie College Oct. 11 at 5:30 p.m. at Martin Field and came out with a 4-0 win.
The Rams kicked 23 shots total for the game while Wylie only got off five. The score at halftime was 0-0 but in the second half Marin Jonjic, freshmen forward, scored two goals within three minutes of each other. The Rams scored two more times from players Jose Albores, senior defender, and Paul McConnell, freshmen midfielder.
Victor Ordonez, senior midfielder, said the beginning of the game was slow.
“We had a rough first half but we came out strong in the second half,” Ordonez said. “We finished with a great win.”
The Rams kept Wylie off the scoreboard the whole game and finished 4-0. The Rams will return to the field Oct.13 at 1:00 p.m. at Martin Field against the University of St. Thomas.
