The Texas Wesleyan men’s soccer team played against the University of the Southwest on Oct. 27 at Martin Field. This was the Ram’s senior night and they earned a win 2-1.

The Rams scored early in the game from a goal by Jose Albores, senior midfielder and defender, with the assist from T.J. Romaguera, senior midfielder.  Ivan Kovacevic, junior midfielder, also scored a goal in the first half putting the Rams up 2-0 by the end of the first half.

Victor Ordonez, senior midfielder, said he truly enjoyed senior night.

“Senior night was amazing because we finished with a win, ” Ordonez said. “We got the bi-week and we will be playing the conference tournament semifinals at home.”

Ordonez said the team played hard and did what they were supposed to do.

“It was an emotional but good night,” Ordonez said.

The Rams finished didn’t score in the second half, but did give up a goal in the second half. However, they won the senior night game 2-1.

The men’s soccer team will be playing in the conference tournament and get an automatic bid to the semifinal game. They will play Nov. 9 at 7:30 p.m. at Martin Field with the opponent unknown as of right now.
