The Texas Wesleyan men’s basketball team played against Louisiana State University-Shreveport on Jan. 14 at 7:30 p.m. in the Sid Richardson Center. The Rams held a steady lead for most of the game, proving victorious with a score of 97-73.
The Rams took the lead at half time, 40-37, after Brian Talley, senior guard and accounting major, made a three pointer to end the half. The Rams took control in the second half with Talley scoring a career-high of 19 points for the game.
Jazz Holman, junior guard and mass communications major, said LSUS was a big win for the team.
“This game let us know that we can still reach our goals that we set at the beginning of the season,” Holman said.
The Rams play again Sat. Jan 19 at 7:30 p.m. in Austin, Texas against Houston-Tillotson.
