The Men’s basketball team at Texas Wesleyan played against Bacone College on Feb. 11 at 7:30 p.m. in the Sid Richardson Center. This game was a cancer awareness day with players wearing pink to support the cause.
The Rams played a close game but proved victorious against the Warriors, 65-61. The game was close the entire time and each team never led more than nine points.
Dallas Jones, junior guard, led the team with 21 points and three rebounds. Teance Walton, junior forward, added 13 points and four rebounds and Jazz Holman, junior guard, led the team in assists with five.
Oscar Griffin, senior guard, put up 18 points and nine rebounds, just one shy of a double-double.
The largest lead of the nights was an eight point lead by the Rams with just 6:33 seconds left in the game.
The Rams will play Feb. 18 at 7:30 p.m. against Louisiana State University-Shreveport in Shreveport, Louisiana.
