The Lady  Rams basketball team played on Feb. 18 at 5:30 p.m. against the Lady Pilots of Louisiana State University-Shreveport in Shreveport, Louisiana. The girls teams have always been rivals to each other but the Lady Rams fell short to the Lady Pilots with a score of 66-48.

These teams throughout the past years have always battled for places in the conference rankings and this year LSUS was ranked third and Texas Wesleyan is ranked fourth. For the beginning of the game, the Lady Rams held LSUS by an eight point lead but it did not take long for the Lady Pilots to fight back. Within a few minutes LSUS was up by three, 19-16. By half time, LSUS still held the lead 35-32.

During the game Kayla McCray, junior forward, held nine points and nine rebounds for the game and Takoia Larry, junior guard, led the team with 14 points for the game.

The Lady Rams did not take the lead again and LSUS finished the rival game with a 66-48 win.

The Lady Rams will play their last regular season game against University of the Southwest at 2 p.m. February 23 in the Sid Richardson Center. Not only is this game the last game of the regular season but it is also senior night.
