The Texas Wesleyan women’s basketball team played their last home game, senior night, against the University of the Southwest on Sat. Feb. 23 aat 2 p.m. in the Sid Richardson Center.

Wesleyan kept the home win against USW with a score of 86-57.

The Lady Rams had three seniors this year; Andre’a Davis, Jazmyn Gindratt, and Courtney Turner. Not only was it an important game for the seniors but it marked the 4th year in a row in which the Lady Rams have 20 or more games in the season.

Many of the Lady Rams scored in double digits this game showing great team basketball. Takoia Larry, junior guard, posted a double-double with 22 points and 12 rebounds. Toieasha Cooper, junior forward, scored 11 points along with Kashyla Fields, sophomore guard. Two other players, Kayla McCray, junior forward, and Carneisha Sims, junior forward, also added nine points.

The Lady Rams shot 76 percent from the free throw line to go along with their field goal percentage of 44.

The women’s basketball team finished their regular season play and will be joining the rest of the top Red River Athletic Conference teams in the conference tournament starting Mar. 1. The Lady Rams are scheduled to play Mar. 1 at 10 p.m. against Langston University at Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Waxahachie, Texas.
