Women’s golf at Texas Wesleyan has now begun playing for their spring 2013 season. The Lady Rams played Mar. 18-19 in Midwestern State Invitational in Wichita Falls, Texas.

McKenzie Brown, freshmen, was initially tied for 78th place in the first day of tournament play but moved up 11 spots to gain the 67th place title. Her total score for the tournament was 176. Deborah Dover, junior, finished in 80th place, tying with a final score of 181. Alexis Belton, sophomore, placed 77th with her final score of 178.

Jessica Liptak, freshmen, shot a score of 187, putting her only four strokes behind Ally Harvey, freshmen, who scored a 181.

The Lady Rams placed 16th as a team with a combined score of 718. This is the Lady Ram’s first official golf team and will swing into action again on Mar. 26 in the Bluebonnet Classic at the Tangle Ridge Golf Course in Cedar Hill, Texas.
