The softball team at Texas Wesleyan played a double header Mar. 23 against Our Lady of the Lake University at Sycamore Park in Fort Worth.

The Lady Rams fell to the Lady Saints 5-1 and 7-2. In the first game, the Lady Rams fell behind early with the Lady Saints scoring three runs by the end of the second inning and they added one more in the fourth. The Lady Rams got on the board in the fifth inning with a run from Meagen Alvarez, junior outfielder.

The Lady Rams could not seem to gain a lead, and lost the first game of the double header 5-1. In the second game, neither the Lady Rams nor the Lady Saints scored a run in the first inning. The Lady Saints earned a run in the second inning and three in the fourth inning while Wesleyan earned two runs in the fifth inning when Alexis Beltran, junior right handed pitcher, hit a home run. Although the Lady Rams put up a fight, they didn’t win the second game of the series. The final score of the last game was 7-2.

The Lady Rams are continuing their conference play on Mar. 29 at 2 p.m. in Austin, Texas.
