The Robing and Hooding Convocation saw students say their final goodbyes to their faculty and staff mentors before their graduation later this afternoon. Held in Martin Hall, students were given their graduation robes by mentors of their choice who had significant impact on their college journeys.

Associate Professor of History Christopher Ohan robes his close friend Tamika Johnson who is graduating with a Ed.D. in Education. While getting her degree, Johnson worked as the coordinator for the dean of the School of Arts & Sciences where she worked closely with Ohan who serves as the associate dean of the School of Arts & Sciences.

Graduating political science major Raelynn Samsill embraces former Professor of Political Science Michelle Payne after getting robed. Payne retired from the university in Spring 2025 and returned to robe Samsill who she taught for two years.
