For Texas Wesleyan students looking to get out of their homes during the Easter break weekend, rain or shine, here are some things to do in the Tarrant County area:
Thursday April 2nd:
Butterflies in The Garden: Fort Worth Botanic Gardens- 3220 Botanic Garden Blvd, Fort Worth, TX 76107
From March 31 to April 30, Fort Worth Botanical Gardens will host the world’s largest exhibit of butterflies. Visitors will get a chance to see butterflies from multiple locations including Central North and South America, Africa and Asia. Tickets are available for $11 online.
Country Dance Lessons: Two-Step Thursday- 302 W Exchange Avenue Fort Worth, TX 76164
For a sweet taste of Fort Worth, every Thursday, the Fort Worth Wranglers host an evening filled with dance lessons at Pearl’s Saloon in the historic Stockyards. “Beyond the Basics Dance Lessons” begins at 7 p.m. for those wanting to learn new footwork and enhance dance partner skills. “Beginners Two-Step Class” begins at 8 p.m. for those who are new to country dancing or are looking to exemplify their skills.

Every first Friday, the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth hosts a special evening event that blends drinks, tasty light bites and art. Guests may enjoy free entry into an artistic ambiance that radiates live music and socializing from 5-8 p.m.
Saturday April 4th:
Clearfork Farmers Market- 4801 Edwards Ranch Road Fort Worth TX, 76019
8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
Every Saturday, The Clearfork Farmers Market hosts over 30 local farmer rancher artisan vendors year round. Visitors can find fresh produce, bread, desserts and much more.
“Stories That Impact Our Community” – Blank Space, 6609 E Lancaster Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76112
North Texas Power Foundation will host a free–for–all–ages community arts and storytelling event. This event will be an open space for all means of creativity, such as poetry and spoken word. The community gathering will offer food and live entertainment, along with an art exhibit. This event will take place from 3:00 p.m to 5:00 p.m.
All weekend, April 3rd to April 5th:
12th annual South Street Art Festival- 300-600 block E. South Street Downtown Arlington, TX. 76010
This art festival is Arlington’s longest running and only fine art festival. The South Street Art Festival is a free event in which visitors can see and buy art from up to 100 national, regional and local artists. Guests can also expect free musical entertainment as well.

Live Music in Sundance Square- Sundance Square Plaza, 420 Mainstreet
Sundance Square hosts live music every week in the Sundance Square Plaza on 420 Mainstreet from Wednesday to Sunday, 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m (10:00 p.m. on weekends.) The performances offer a diverse choice in music selection, ranging from jazz, to country to latin.
