Lady Rams played Central Christian College on Sept. 2. They took the win in four sets where the Lady Rams won 3-1.

“The season is going very good for the Lady Rams as they played against some of the highest ranked teams, and they beat the number one ranked pre-season team,” said Ricky Dotson, head athletic director. “When you look at the standings of the teams the Lady Rams are at the top and Central Christain University is in the middle.”

The first set of the game, Lady Rams, won 25-15.  In the second set of the game Central Christain took the win 25-16.

“I think we will win this game in three,” said Kirsten Moore, a first-year biology major.

In the third and fourth set of the game, the Lady Rams swept the court 25-14, leading them to the win.

“Even though we had some difficulties throughout the game, we were able to get through that,” said Sydney Charlton, senior sports communication major.

Charlton, No. 13, led her team to the win with 16 kills and three blocks.

“The rest of the season is going to go well because we have always been able to fight through and we’re the team to do it, especially since our team is so similar to last year,” Charlton said. “I think we will be able to win Nationals this year.”

The students and faculty look forward to seeing how the Lady Rams’ Volleyball progresses throughout their season and the team hopes to go to nationals this year.
