On Feb. 25, Student Affairs hosted a kite flying event at the Kay Granger Mall for students to stop by and decompress between classes.
Student Affairs brought a multitude of kites and gave them away to students. Students dropped by between noon and 2:00 p.m. to pick out kites which had designs ranging from a fish, a toucan, an owl, and more. Once a design was selected, students built their own kite before letting it soar into the sky. Afterwards, participants were free to take their kites with them for windy days to come.
The day had short gusts of wind which only allowed the kites to be high in the sky for a quick moment. Nevertheless, students were able to take a moment to enjoy each other as well as the warm sun after weeks of chilly days.
