The Entrepreneurship Network is creating an opportunity for students of all majors to meet with the club’s members and other like-minded students over free tacos and gift raffles.
“Any student who’s curious, creative, or wants to make an impact – whether you’re into art, science, business, or tech, you will find something here,” said Jonathan Fellers, the president of the club. “It’s especially for students who want to think outside the box, collaborate with others, and turn ideas into action.”
The event will be a laid-back and creative atmosphere, with opportunities to connect across majors, share ideas and discuss what students would love to see from the Entrepreneurship Network this semester. The event will also introduce ways to get involved, from leadership roles to upcoming workshops and competitions, such as Ram’s Tank.
“They’ll also get the opportunity to meet successful alumni and our guest speakers, learn about their career paths, connect with representatives from big companies and explore future career and networking opportunities,” said junior marketing major Zeynep Ege, the club’s chief networking officer.
Gokcen Ogruk-Maz, the assistant professor of economics, says she enjoys overseeing the club as their advisor and believes they are going in a successful direction.
“This is a group of students I really enjoy working with,” Ogruk-Maz said. “We have a great president —Jonathan is very much into detail and organization and is working on restructuring the club to make it more like a business organization.”
Students interested in attending can stop by during free period tomorrow, Oct. 9th, at the Jack Morton Business Accelerator Center on 3114 E. Rosedale. This building is located across the street from the clock tower on the right side of Vaughn Blvd. The building is adjacent to the Texas Wesleyan Community Counseling Center.
