Career Services is hosting a “Smaller. Smarter.” Career Fair from noon to 2 p.m. on Sep. 26 in the Martin Center Ballroom.
Every semester Texas Wesleyan arranges a career fair. This semester the event is geared towards jobs in the science and arts field. This gives students the ability to meet face-to-face with recruiters and start networking.
“The “Smaller. Smarter.” career fair is intentionally small,” Jesse Albracht said.
Albracht, assistant director of career services and experiential learning, said, “Last year it was the School of Business, this year it is majors in the School of Arts and Sciences, but both [career fairs] have always been open to all majors.”
Elijah Chamber, a junior sports communication major, said he attends the career fairs held by Texas Wesleyan. He works for Texas Wesleyan, one of the 17 employers at the fair.
“I reviewed the like list of people coming, it wasn’t really stuff I was interested in,” said Bailey O’Donnell a political science major graduating in 2024.
Albracht recommends that any student meet with career service for career guidance or to prepare a resume for the fair. “You can create a resume from scratch with us or we can update a previously created resume with you,” she said.
